lye like balm of promoting a fake calm is what it is..

Nothing but the serpents tongue
Whispering in the ear
Saying not to follow your heart and soul
But listen to the reasons of fear

Nothing but rhetoric about rhetoric
Nothing but talk about talk
Lip service to the sanctity of life
But doing the quality of life walk

And it is what it is
Nothing but a festering lie
Nothing but a sacrificial cult
